What brand of clothes for male in early 20's?

I'm currently updating my wardrobe and need some advice. Im 20 almost 21 (in a week). I'm currently lookin at shirts like plaid, western, military, linen based on the ones i see in gap store and online (doesn't have to be but thats where i've noticed some that i like) are these trendy? Also i need some more polos and would like opinions on blank polos like you can get at banana republic, gap and jcrew as opposed to ones from companies like abercrombie, express, and hollister. Also i like t-shirts with emblems like RL polo (with or without pockets) but i dunno any other company that puts emblems on t-shirts am i missing any or is there another cool t-shirt style? Lol i kno its a lot but your general opinion would be a great help.

Don't just look at certain styles or you will not find too many things, banana republic, jcrew, and gap are all really good brands, and as long as you buy things that fit and look good on YOU; than you should be fine. All of BR, Jcrew, and gap's polos are really nice, especially jcrew, they feel really good and fit well, just make sure to not look at all black, very boring. Try to find basics that work with lots of other things, BR has alot of really amazing tee shirts, I have about 10 myself. Martin and osa may be really good for you as well, they have lots of more stylish piece with the military feel, but much more style.
