Faux linen or linen like tablecloths or table covers?

I am in desperate need of faux linen or linen like tablecloths or table covers that feel like paper but are thicker and sturdier. I am throwing a party and cannot afford expensive linens but at the same time i don't want to use plastic or thin paper.

Have you seen about renting them? It is not as much as you may think. Call a couple of places and get a quote. If you are just doing tablecloths then it should be reasonable.

I just googled one place and looked at the price. This place is only 9 dollars to rent. Buying the fabric or the cloths is going to be about the same price.

Call some places in your area, tell them you are on a budget and ask them what they can do for you. They might be willing to help out with some linens that do not get rented as frequently.
