Fixed cats STILL peeing??
I have two female cats, they are sisters. One is more of a maine coon, the other is more of a calico (physically I mean- how they look.)
I took them both to the vet in April- and they were both spayed. They are never in heat anymore, which is great because they used to be in heat literally 6 out of 7 days of the week.
They have stopped peeing on random things like the floor, my dirty laundry, my towels, my couch and so on....BUT one of them (the calico) continues to urinate on my BED.
MY BED OF ALL PLACES!!! Where I sleep!! I went to Walmart and got a vinyl sheet so if she pee's on the blankets it won't soak into my matress- but unfortunatly I was sleeping when she pee'd on me this morning- so it soaked into my blankets.
WHY WHY WHY is she still doing this, and how can I get her to STOP? I have already tried this crappy product from Hartz called "Stay Off" and its this weird smelling stuff you spray on linens and beds. Needless to say, it DIDN'T WORK.
Cat pee is very strong smelling. The ammonia in it stays forever. She probably smell that and thinks that that is where she has to pee.
If she is peeing in other places as well, then you need to re-affirm the litter. Everytime you see her peeing anywhere else, take her to the litter. Do this enough and she will eventually figure it out.
If it is just the bed, then you need to get the smell out as much as possible! and again re-affirm the litter!
