How can I make sure my first day on the job goes smoothly?

My previous job, the first day didn't go too well. None of the coworkers were nice to me and they didn't make feel welcome. The only nice people were the older people working their and one of the supervisors. They gave me things to do but it was overwhelming.

How can I make sure that doesn't happen again. I start tomorrow.
I'll be working at Anna's Linens at the mall.

Don't talk too much. Don't try to create an extraordinary first impression. Don't try to befriend all your colleagues on day one. Stay normal and maintain a low profile.
