What to put in a hope chest...?
I am 18 and I have my moms old hope chest. I have a couple of things to put in there but not like linens and stuff I just have a couple of table decorations. Any sugestions?? Hopefully I will be getting married in the next 5 years so I kinda need to know what to get. My parents are getting my china for my 19th birthday but I need to know what else.
My aunt gave me her hope chest when I was 18.....just before I became engaged. (first marriage) In it I put..
bed linens....bath towels.....kitchen towels, pot holders,mitts, small stuff like manual can openers, small kitchen utensils,
a handmade quilt from his grandmother, doilies I made, place mats, shower curtain set, bathroom set (rug & seat cover) pretty nightgowns for myself, afghans I made......it's a lovely old tradition that is very practical.....good luck.
