DIY wedding ideas???

I'm getting married july 2009 and we are on a budget. I am making my invitations-Im a graphic design student. I need some good ideas for decorating our banquet room. Our colors are lavendar, mint green, and cream. Also I need to find linen table covers and chair covers that wont cost a crazy amount. Any other suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

Buy your own flowers and do your own arrangements.

Keep it very simple. If you do an online search for wholesale flowers millions of places come up.. each are unique and have better prices for some flowers than others.

For vases visit a few local stores, either craft or decor- you should be able to acquire some vases fairly inexpensively.

Other things you can do yourself are favors.

For my favors my MIL is baking our favorite cookie (almond cookies) we are putting them in a plastic back, we bought 3x3x3 boxes for 8 cents a piece and are tying them with two different types of ribbon. Our favors are costing us 50 bucks for 130 people. You could take this idea and make it your own.

Linen and table covers can be expensive depending on what you like.. it is worth it though.

www.bbjlinens.com they have places all over the country and you can look at them all. The standards are the cheapest... the lamours are gorgeous in real life- but expensive (I splurged on these).

You can also make your own guest book. We got a book, bought some polaroid camera's off of ebay, and some pens. Guests will snap their pictures, attach them in the book, and write whatever they like. We can remember everyone and have pictures
