I quit my job over the phone?
I just started working at Anna's Linens on Friday. I didn't like it, there was just so many things wrong with that place, the management and the store itself. I was supposed to work today but I called in like an hour earlier and I told them I quit. The main manager wasn't their so I told the supervisor, she told me I should call back tomorrow when the manager comes in.
I don't want to call again but I know its messed up just to leave a job like that. When I call tomorrow what should I tell the manager?
I don't intend to put down that job in an application in the future by the way.
Don't call your manager. Leave well enough alone. I quit over the phone & to this day I don't regret it, but I did only work there for a short time. This wasn't my career path, so it didn't hurt me, i.e., no bridges burned. I didn't put them on my resume. If the company sucks, no biggee that you quit over the phone.
