Are Christmas wishes allowed on YA?
I hope so, for here is mine to you.
Christmas Love
About this time each year I live,
I set aside a day.
I think about a child of God,
Placed in a bed of hay.
I think of all the love there was,
To send His son to us.
And for the people of the earth,
Then to treat Him thus.
A prince of Heaven sent to land,
To save us from our sin.
To die upon a cross of wood,
No worse has ever been.
A bed of gold He could have had,
And linens made of silk.
With angels as his serving maids,
But he had Mother's milk.
I think of this and feel the love,
That prompted this to be.
He loved us all so very much,
He died for you and me.
So every year I choose this time,
I worship Him this way.
And wish to all in this big world,
A happy Christmas day.
If you don't believe in Christmas, have a good day anyways, and try to show someone you love them. There is too much hate and animosity in the world. Good wishes to all of all beliefs and non-beliefs. Live and Love.
You are a weaver of words, your talents impeccable. I love the imagery and meaning of the poem. Most especially I enjoyed:

For me that speaks of very deep religious/spiritual significance.
It follows a basic rhyming scheme which is prevelant in all of your works. I have only begun experimenting with various rhyming schmes and flows, as most of my poetry has emphasis on mood, imagery and meaning. You have a very intuitive sense of rhyme and flow.
It would be interesting though, to see you change up the ryhming scheme a bit for your next poem.
